In short, Slack does not currently allow users to unsend a message, but the Delete Message / Conversation and “/collapse” commands can be used to reduce the visibility of the message. This will hide the messages and make them less visible within the channel, but will not delete them. This will remove the message from view for all members of the respective workspace, channel, or group.Īdditionally, you can use the Slack slash command “/collapse” which can be used to “minimize” a message thread inside a channel.
This can be done by selecting the three-dot icon next to the message, then selecting Delete Message/Conversation.
